About

My name is Mathias Biilmann Christensen and I am the sole habitant of this small planet adrift in cyberspace. A Dane living in Madrid, a programmer with an education in musicology, literature and cultural studies, and a humanist with a passion for computers.

I have programmed computers since I got my first Commodore 64 as a kid, and have experience in a long range of languages on a wide range of platforms: from coding demos in AMOS Basic on the Amiga, over creating my own 2d space-game in C++ and Direct 3D, and to various Web programming projects. These days my language of choice is Ruby, but I enjoy playing around with functional languages like Haskell and Erlang in my spare time.

Until recently most of my web development was based on PHP, but since I got to know Ruby on Rails this has become my preferred platform, and I’m lucky enough to get to spend most of my programming hours working in Ruby at my current job at Webpop.com.
